What happens if a client has multiple emails in the email field in our PIMS?

Our system is looking to see if in the PIMS email field, are there two valid email addresses separated either by a colon, semicolon, comma, space, or slash. If so, we will take the first email and ignore the rest. This will allow for pet owners with two emails to receive an email to the first email rather than having an invalid email in our system and receiving no emails!
