What security measures does AllyDVM take to protect your data?

AllyDVM uses industry-standard security measures to protect its customers' data. Our security-related efforts were not bolted onto the product after our developers finished; they were woven into the architecture of our services as we built them from the ground up.

Our data sync processes encrypt all data in transit between your veterinary practice management system and our databases, which are housed exclusively within US regions of Amazon Web Services (AWS). Using AWS means we also provide you, as our customers, with all the assurances associated with Amazon's PaaS offerings, including both physical and logical access controls.

But, perhaps the most important thing for you, as veterinary industry participants, to consider when learning about data security in the industry is that AllyDVM doesn't ever sell its customers' data. We may transfer our customers' data if you ask us to, but we do not sell it to 3rd parties without you, at the customer's direction, to do so. Most of the data issues in the veterinary industry are NOT the result of hacking or theft. Rather, it is that veterinarians do not read the terms and conditions of the services they use, and they do not realize they have authorized companies to sell their data.

But we do not do that because we are the DVM's ultimate ally.
