Can a new client request an appointment from the appointment request URL?

Yes! If a new client uses the request appointment feature (from your website for example), they have no client ID in your Practice Management System (PIMS), so we have no account to tie them to. If you would like to be able to send them a direct message, you can do it this way:
    1.  Create a new "dummy" account in your PIMS- Name it "New Client Request" or you could use the Practice Account. Then, create a patient naming it "New Patient" or “Dog” or “Cat” would work. Our system syncs with your PIMS every hour, so you will want to give it some time to sync over this change before you can send the direct message.
    2. Send a direct message to the new client by using the "appointment created-new client" email/text template. Insert the appointment date and time, and switch the phone number or email from the "dummy" account to replace that information with the new client's information.
*If your practice has Two Way Text enabled, we recommend you use the "Text Non-Client" button to text a new client who is not yet in your Practice Management System.
